Your options are virtually endless when it comes to glass. There are many different uses for glass and therefore there are many types and styles which can be customized to your needs. We can help you determine which type of glass would work best for your project.
Plate Glass - There are a variety of thicknesses to choose from. We can help you choose what thickness is best for your project and can custom cut it to your size and shape.
Safety Glass - There are many different types of safety glass. We can help you choose which one works best for you.
Tempered Glass - If tempered glass does break, it crumbles into small chunks, rather than breaking up into jagged pieces which could potentially be dangerous.
Laminated Glass - This is made stronger by layering a piece of polyvinyl butyral (PVB) between two pieces of glass. If the glass breaks the PVB hold the shards in place instead of letting them fall.
GPW - Georgian Polish Wire is glass with a wire grid running through it. This glass is sometimes referred to as “fire glass” because it holds together a little longer than tempered glass during a fire which prevents air from getting in and feeding the fire. You can usually find this glass in places where it is code, such as schools and stairways.
Specialty Glass - We can custom cut glass in many colours and styles. Come in and check out our samples or bring a piece in and we'll see if we can find a match for it.
Colours - We can get many different colours which can be flat or textured.
Pattern Glass - Many areas need to allow light in but require a level of privacy. Pattern glass can optimize natural light while maintaining a level of privacy. From bathrooms to railings and closet doors, there are many uses for pattern glass.
Non-Glare Glass - This type of glass is typically used in picture frames. It reduces the amount of light that is reflected off the outside of the glass making it easier to view the image in the frame.
Tinted Glass - We carry both grey and bronze coloured tinted glass which is typically used in windows, tabletops, shelving, cabinet doors, etc. We also provide film tints which can be applied to clear glass.
Back Painted Glass - This has started to become quite popular now that it’s been featured in the latest Dream Homes. You can use this in place of wall tiles in either the bathroom or the kitchen. This can also be used in other custom projects.
Table tops - If you want to protect the elegant finish of furniture while still enjoying it’s beauty, glass is the best way to go. Glass is an inexpensive alternative to refinishing valuable items due to spills or accidental damage.
Glass Shelving - Add a unique and beautiful touch to any display with glass shelving. You can use plate glass with a smooth edge or add a bevel for a unique look. We can cut the shelves to any size and we have many different thicknesses. We also have hardware options available in a variety of finishes.
Glass Railings - Glass railings can provide a magnificent panoramic view. With different hardware options and glass styles to choose from you can customize your railing to your personal preference. A frameless option is available and is less intrusive when removing that top rail.
Fireplace - Pyrosaram glass is designed to withstand high heat conditions. Bring in your fireplace door or a template and we can cut and install the glass for you.
Plexiglass - Can be used in place of glass. It is more flexible and is shatter resistant. Plexiglass does scratch easily so it’s important to use a very mild cleaner with no ammonia and a cheesecloth/micro fibre cloth for cleaning.
Lexan - Lexan is similar to plexiglass in the fact that it’s shatter resistant and scratches easily. Lexan is unbreakable and you are able to drill holes in it without having it crack.
